En faisant ça, il secoue un monde encore complètement empêtré dans ses tabous autour de la sexualité (tabous cristallisés par le SIDA et le VIH). Il renverse tous les codes du genre en vigueur avec sa signature indie extrême et sa mise en avant d’une sous-culture passionnante. Clearly, a good deal of this is due to young screenwriter Harmony Korine, but for Clark to have understood the characters so well and won the trust of his young cast to such an extent ismost impressive.
